My name is Claire Woodhead and I began my teaching career in Leicester. For 20 years, I have had the pleasure of shaping young lives and influencing futures. For the past 10 years I have taught at Hunloke Park.
Throughout my career, I have taught all year groups from Nursery to Year 6. I don’t have a favourite subject or age group, but do always endeavour to provide a creative classroom where children feel empowered to achieve their full potential. Nothing gives me greater joy, than seeing children actively engaged in their own learning and answering their own questions.
Away from the classroom I enjoy spending time with my own children and my fur-children. Beach side holidays, and walking through beautiful countryside are some of my favourite past times, they provide me with inspiration and often spark ideas that can be used in a creative way in the classroom.
